A new United Nations’ report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change details the new risks from a warming planet on food and water shortages, expanding deserts and land degradation. This most recent report from the IPCC, focuses on land which plays a dual role in climate change. Land is needed for agriculture, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. The good news is that land, managed properly, such as through regenerative agriculture, can be part of the solution to climate change by drawing carbon from the atmosphere and reversing the current trends.
